SHOULD G'MA D CUT HER HAIR???

I am honestly thinking that when a woman is pushing 50 (away) as I am, she should cut her hair. I think it makes my face look bigger with my added weight gain! Let me know what you think.

Ahhh....the bliss of solitude

Wow, what a week!

Payson turns one on June 13th!

Mom and dad's 40th anniversary on the 20th!

Father's Day on the 21st!

Levi becomes a teenager! 7 years ago Tiffany and Allan get married on June 22!

Soon, any day now.....another grandson.

I wait ever so impatiently. Tonight we have what is called a Steering Team Mtg. for our Ladies Ministry program at church. We are to discuss new things for the next season.

I spent a lot of yesterday trying to find just the right things to put into my notes to keep it brief. I coordinate "Her Place" for His Place Church and I want to do a skit for service the month before Sept. to get the ladies all fired up for it.

Do you know how hard it is to find a skit regarding the theme "Get On The Bus". As the moms prepare to get their kids back to school we are also going to get ourselves geared up for Ladies Ministry "school"!

This morning I was sharing my concerns with Milo about not being able to find anything for this theme (that we already are excited about doing). He asks me, "Why don't you just write one?" I immediately think of all the reasons I can't possibly do that, but as I open my mouth to respond, a skit just started to form in my head! Amazing!! Well I guess I CAN do this! I believe it is because of the sweet prayer he started our day with asking God to make me be amazing for Him today. Isn't that just the sweetest thing to pray for on your wife?...he actually asked God that I become all that He wants me to be today.

I never expected such a fast response to prayer as that. I mean, we must be talking about 15 minutes here.

Anyway...off to do my day. Tiffany does this block of time of her day in her blog, but I can't photo myself, can I?

I'll just post that I have to do these things today:

Stop at Espresso stand to say "hi" and get an Iced Diet Vanilla Italian Cream Soda from Jeena!

Shopping List~

Denture Cleanser (don't laugh, it is to clean out vases from the flowers debris that won't come out w/o it! You just drop two tablets in water and it comes out sparkling clean! I learned this trick years ago)
Shoe rack (to go in my new closet)
Payson Birthday Gift (or card)
Liquid dish soap
Shell noodles (to make shrimp salad)
Photo Paper
Red printers Ink

I have to mail thank you card to my sister for helping me with mom's party
Call Gail (to touch base about tonight's mtg.)
Call Marguerite (to confirm dinner date tomorrow night at her house)
Go to bank for cash
Workout before heading back home
Shower
Do scrapbooks
Do Personal Bible Study
Watch Dr. Phil
Then, make my family a huge seafood dinner before we separate for softball (him & kids) and mtg. (me)
Come home, enjoy alone time that we are trying to make with each other
Read our Stormie Omartian "Praying Through the Deeper Issues in Marriage" book together
Kiss g' night and call it a day and I can't share any more details beyond that!!

Have a great one yourself!

Allan & Tiffany married 7 years on June 22nd

In front of the Manti temple where they were married....

Kissing......

Tiffany is not fond of weddings, so their impromptu small wedding suited her just fine.....they look so young to me here.

Engagement picture shots...one of a few I have, but this is my personal favorite.

Next to their car when she was 5 months along with my first grandchild Brooklyn...the baby was conceived 5 months after they were married, so , no, they did not have to get married, just started the "family" way pretty darn fast!

In their first apartment together!

On their 5th anniversary! Aren't they adorable?

Levi turns 13!!

Levi wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner and then to a movie.....
This is all 4 of us at Red Robin...

This is Leonna laughing from reading one of his cards...what was written inside said, "We tried & tried to find just the perfect card, she wanted something cutesy and I wanted something funny so we compromised". Then you open the card to a teddy bear bending over holding a pretty pink rose and a puffy cloud of gray smoke is emitting from his rear! It was exactly perfect. When we met to look for Levi's birthday present and card, we kept going back and forth with what we each thought was good, ..... we got him three cards!

They sang "Happy Birthday" to him. What a great sport! Hahahahahaha!

He is so gosh darn cute!

Father's Day highlights....

"Man Of The Hour".....HAPPY FATHER"S DAY HONEY!!

Beach combing........

Jeena and me......warm and breezy

Puppy we may get in 2 weeks?

Tryin' to get us in a frame...I was chewing gum, can you tell?

The kids and Milo...

Jeena walked up behind Milo as I was trying to do a "Man of the Hour" shot!

Jeena was on the top of a driftwood fort. Leonna in background cleaning debris out of it.

Puppy litter that we are going to pick a dog from to have as an "indoor" doggie!

Levi and I got up very early to make Milo breakfast, we went to church, and we came home to chill & nap before we had a BBQ. We went to the north beach at Deception Pass. The weather was beautiful!!

40th Anniversary Party for mom and dad

1969 wedding shot.....
Let the SONshine in. Milo thought that it was cool that just as mom went to give me a "thank you" hug the sun came in on us.....Ahhhhhhhhhh

Looking at each other after they had renewed their vows...it was VERY touching and a great example for family & friends to see them do this.

During the vow ceremony. It was very casual. It was supposed to be in our huge backyard, BUT mom had broken her arm and could not walk very far, the weather didn't get good until just around this time.

Brother-in-law, Scott walking her in...that is Justin (grandson) and me (daughter) waiting...

.....40 years together!
